Swimming games have never been popular and depending on the success of Michael Phelps: Push The Limits that may or may not change. Nevertheless, 505 Games wants to get players amped up and ready to experience the first current-generation swimming game for the Xbox Kinect with a brand new trailer featuring gold medal Olympian, Michael Phelps. The new trailer for the game also walks gamers through the gameplay mechanics.

The game’s graphics don’t look all that bad and gameplay wise it at least seems to have some measure of competitive interactivity, as opposed to just flailing one’s arms about in hopes of winning a match. You can check out the detailed gameplay walkthrough trailer below to get an idea of how it all plays out.
The gameplay on display was basically single player but it’s funny how they were showing some real people engaged in some competitive multiplayer action…or maybe they were just doing some competitive multi-single-player action? Anyway, the game sports head-to-head multiplayer modes, a detailed single-player Career Mode and lots of arm wheeling action.
You can look for the game to become available for the Xbox 360’s Kinect come October. For more info be sure to pay a visit to the Official Website.
