(ANI): Michael Phelps, who broke up with aspiring model Megan Rossee in December after a 10-month relationship, has whisked off a stunning waitress to the Bahamas for a romantic vacation. The legendary swimmer's new girlfriend is 22-year-old Sarah Herndon, and according to her pal, she has been "swept off her feet" by Phelps, Radar Online reported.

The 18 time Olympic gold medallist met her while she was on a holiday with her family in Cabo St Lucas, and she extended her trip an extra day to stay with him, while her family went home. The friend said that Herndon flew back to Los Angeles afterwards, but then Phelps invited her over to the Bahamas last week, where he was doing a celebrity golf tournament.

"He offered to fly her out to stay with him, and of course she jumped at the chance. She got whisked off her feet, I mean he's a celebrity," the friend said. The friend added that Herndon had a great time with Phelps, they hooked up multiple times, and she said that he is an amazing lover. (ANI)

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 28. WORLD Champion Michael Phelps, Country Superstar Dierks Bentley, former ABA and NBA star Julius Erving, Super Bowl XX champion Jim McMahon, 13-time MLB all-star Ken Griffey Jr., two-time Daytona 500 Champion Michael Waltrip, Diamondbacks' pitcher Ian Kennedy and second basemen Aaron Hill are all scheduled to play in this year's Waste Management Phoenix Open Annexus Pro-Am, which tees off at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, January 30th on TPC Scottsdale's Stadium Course.

Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time with 22 total medals will be making his Waste Management Phoenix Open debut. Since retiring from competitive swimming in 2012, Phelps has been playing a lot of golf. In fact, Phelps has been filming The Haney Project with noted instructor Hank Haney -- the show is scheduled to air on the Golf Channel beginning Feb. 25. A Golf Channel crew will be on site to film Phelps' progress for the show. An avid golfer, Phelps hosts the annual Michael Phelps Foundation Golf Classic which serves as the major fundraiser for his Foundation.

Capitol Records recording artist, 10-time Grammy Nominee and Phoenix native Dierks Bentley will also tee it up in the Annexus Pro-Am. Owner of 10 number one hits, including "What Was I Thinkin", "Sideways" and "5-1-5-0", Bentley is an 18 handicap and enjoys playing golf while out on tour.

Julius Erving (Dr. J) will be playing in his first WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am. An avid golfer, Erving is the 5th highest scorer in professional basketball history and four-time league MVP with the ABA's Virginia Squires and the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers.

Ken Griffey Jr. played 22 seasons in the Major Leagues for three different teams, the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox. Griffey is considered one of the most prolific homerun hitters of all time; his 630 homeruns rank him sixth in MLB history.

Former all-pro quarterback Jim McMahon played 15 seasons in the NFL for 7 teams. He is former NFL NFC Rookie of the Year, a two-time Super Bowl champion (XX and XXXI) and the 1991 NFL Comeback Player of the Year. Since retiring from the NFL, McMahon now lives in Scottsdale.

NASCAR driver and two-time Daytona 500 champ (2001 & 03) Michael Waltrip will also tee it up in the Annexus Pro-Am. A 20 handicap, Waltrip loves the game and annually hosts the Waltrip Brothers Charity Championship with his brother Darrell in Franklin, Tenn.

Current Arizona Diamondbacks' Ian Kennedy and Aaron Hill will also be part of the Annexus Pro-Am. Kennedy will be playing in his second WM Phoenix Open Wednesday Pro-Am, while Hill will be making his tournament debut.

Tee times for the Annexus Pro-Am will be from 8:30 through 10:30 AM. Exact tee times for participating amateurs and celebrities will be announced the evening of Tuesday, January 29th.

If the Internet rumor mill is correct, Michael Phelps might have a new love interest: Jasmine Waltz, a Los Angeles woman with a track record of dating celebs and other A-listers. The apparent development comes less than a month after Phelps and his previous girlfriend, Megan Rossee, called it quits after about 10 months of dating.

This doesn't appear to be Waltz's first time dating a celebrity. She has been linked to David Arquette, Zac Efron, Chris Pine, Ryan Seacrest, Jesse McCartney, Doug Reinhardt and Vinny from MTV's "Jersey Shore,” Hollyscoop reports. She may also have a fiery streak. Waltz has been accused of punching Lindsay Lohan while waitressing at a nightclub -- an accusation she denies. At this point, Phelps is rumored to be in it for the sex.

An unnamed source told Hollyscoop Phelps and Waltz have "been hooking up for weeks," and that there seems to be more of a physical bond than an emotional one. (Waltz is no stranger to sex herself, having reportedly made $60,000 after "accidentally" leaking a sex tape to Vivid Entertainment in 2010, TMZ reports.)

Proponents of the rumor point out that Phelps recently started following Waltz on Instagram. Though the Olympian has upwards of 225,000 followers on the photo-sharing network, he follows only 52. Take that with a grain of salt though, because he's also following his ex. A request for comment from Phelps' talent agent was not immediately returned.

Chances are that if you know who Jasmine Waltz is without having to Google her, then you’re either a fan of “celebrity” sex tapes or you’re way too involved with David Arquette’s private life. But I won’t blame you for the latter, because he is, after all, a former WCW Champion, so he deserves our respect. I assume, though, that you wouldn’t know Waltz from a Megan Fox impersonator at your cousin’s awesome bachelor party, so here’s a rundown of her résumé:

And as you can see from that banner pic, she does look a lot like Fox, so that’s probably why all of those young, horny celebrities have been tripping over themselves to spend a romantic evening with her. As I also mentioned, she has a sex tape out there thanks to a sweet $60,000 deal that she signed with Vivid back in 2011, and that means that she has zero vertical talent.

So what the hell am I bringing her up for today? According to Hollyscoop, swimming-legend-turned-poker-pro Michael Phelps is now dating Waltz after he broke up with his Las Vegas waitress and model girlfriend, Megan Rossee.

I have to be honest, if you had told me that a gold medalist swimmer was going to be losing a ton of money by playing professional poker while dating high maintenance, gold-digging models, I would have guessed Ryan Lochte 10 times out of 10. Is it possible that Lochte is actually smarter than Phelps? It sure seems that way. But Phelps is definitely having more fun in the meantime.

Fiscal cliff is so last year. In 2013, it's all about the trillion-dollar coin. And there's at least one news outlet campaigning for the dream coin to feature Michael Phelps.

If you haven't been paying attention, the idea of a trillion dollar coin -- apparently like a silver dollar but A LOT heavier -- is gaining some degree of traction in Washington as lawmakers kick around ways to fix the ginormous national debt. A legal loophole would allow the U.S. Treasury to make huge-value coins. And if, say, these mega coins worked their way into the Federal Reserve, one could say that the U.S. bank account is suddenly living large. So, yeah.

Anyway, Slate has decided to take the idea and run with it. If the United States is going to mint a new coin, the next logical discussion is, "Who will be on it?" And rather than some boring old president, Slate is sponsoring a contest for more creative ideas.

Their nomination? Michael Phelps. "So at this point we all agree that President Obama is going to authorize the $1 trillion platinum coin to single-handedly save the economy and secure his position on Mt. Rushmore II," Slate writes. "The only question is: What will it look like? We here at Slate don't think such an important question should be left up to those stuffed shirts at the U.S. Mint who will probably just stick a president and an iconic building on it."Their depiction of the Phelps trillion, shows the swimmer, looking even more naked than usual, riding an eagle like a horse.

Michael Phelps, the most-decorated Olympian of all time, is jumping out of the pool and on to the golf course with plans for his next chapter in life - to play the world's greatest golf courses and improve his golf game under the watchful eye of Hank Haney - on THE HANEY PROJECT, Golf Channel's popular series debuting its fifth season on Monday, Feb. 25, at 9 p.m. ET.

The Haney Project will feature Phelps, who won an unprecedented 22 Olympic medals, including 18 gold medals, as he attempts to improve his game from tee to green with the guidance of Tiger Woods' former swing coach over the course of eight weekly, 60-minute episodes. The series will reunite with the popular interview series, Feherty - also premiering on Monday, Feb. 25 - to form a potent primetime Monday lineup. Golf Channel's slate of original series, including The Haney Project and Feherty, have contributed to back-to-back most-watched years, which earned Golf Channel the title of the fastest-growing network on television since joining the NBC Sports Group.

"I've always had a love of golf and dreamed of seeing the world by playing all the best courses. And my competitive side wants to play them well," said Phelps. "I'm extremely motivated to develop my golf skills, and through Hank's help I've already seen progress with my game and played some really cool golf courses. This is an exciting project with The Golf Channel and it's been fun working with Hank to see how far we can take my game."

"We can stand in awe of Michael's Olympic accomplishments, but it's hard to put ourselves in his shoes except when it comes to golf," said Golf Channel President Mike McCarley. Phelps, who received a pegboard featuring the world's greatest courses as a Christmas gift last year, will follow other celebrity students who have starred on The Haney Project, including NBA Hall-of-Famer Charles Barkley, Emmy Award-winner Ray Romano and Grammy Award-winning Maroon 5 front man and mentor on NBC's "The Voice" Adam Levine. Phelps already has been filling the pegboard during the filming of the series, with stops in China, Scotland, Mexico and top spots throughout the United States.

Each episode of The Haney Project will follow Phelps on his quest to play better golf, whether it's one-on-one instruction on the golf course with Haney or developing lessons he will be able to practice on his own. The series also will showcase Phelps in his own environment with cameos by famous friends and other experts who check in on him during his journey, including his mother Debbie Phelps and longtime swim coach Bob Bowman.

Michael Phelps, the swimmer, has dumped his girlfriend of almost a year, Megan Rossee. Apparently there are many other attractive young women eager to, you know, meet him, and he’s not against the idea. The Washington Post pointed out this interesting tweet Megan put up: “A woman’s loyalty is tested when her man has nothing. A man’s loyalty is tested when he has everything.”

Michael Phelps appears to be swimming solo. According to TMZ'ssources, the 27-year-old Olympic champion broke up with his girlfriend, model Megan Rossee, 25, because he felt the relationship wasn't going anywhere. They had been dating since last March and Phelps reportedly decided to move on to “pursue other options.” Sounds like a business transaction.

But does this mean Phelps is looking for a serious relationship — maybe even marriage — or does he just want to play the field and this was a gentler way to put it? Maybe it was a distance/time issue. A lot of showbiz-type breakups come down to just never being in the same place at the same time. Baltimore native and superstar Olympian Michael Phelps has dumped model-waitress Megan Rossee, according to TMZ. The gossip site cited anonymous sources who said that Phelps "felt the relationship wasn't going anywhere, so he decided to end it so he could pursue other options."

The two first appeared in public as a couple during the London Olympics. Phelps played (consolation?) beer pong Saturday evening with Stacy Keibler in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, according to Keibler's Instagram feed. Rossee posted a photo Sunday of herself and a friend on the beach in California.

As recently as Thursday, the two had cavorted with the dolphins at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. An inquiry with Octagon, the agency representing Phelps, was not immediately returned.
